Theatre Gigante presents: SAKESHVILI – THE PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC CIRCUS
A U.S. premiere, SAKESHVILI – THE PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC CIRCUS is a series of absurdly comic situations, grappling with the topic of constant brainwashing, as four clownlike figures attempt to hold on to their personalities, dignity, and everything else that defines them as human. Sakeshvili is a comedy, with not only absurd parody and sarcasm, but also with the necessary touches of sensitivity … a laugh-out-loud comedy that brings you to tears. As for what kind of tears, let that remain a Sakeshvili-esque question!
The Sunday, June 7 performance of SAKESHVILI – THE PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC CIRCUS at 2 p.m. is Pay What You Can. Tickets cannot be purchased online, but can be purchased at the door starting one hour before curtain using cash, check or card.
