Newsletters
Next Act publishes five newsletters during every season, providing in-depth information about upcoming plays, giving attendees the opportunity to learn more about the production and gain a deeper understanding of content, history and issues. Other items in the newsletter provide information about upcoming events, sponsor and donor recognition and updates on our educational initiatives.

Personal Previews
Personal Previews are an important tool that helps Next Act forge memorable, strong connections between artists and audience members. Free of charge, these casual but noteworthy presentations give context to the play with insights on topics like artistic production, design challenges and historical background.
Personal Previews begin 30 minutes prior to a performance. They occur on Saturdays and Sundays during the run of a show. Talkbacks
Talkbacks occur after a performance at Next Act Theatre and give audience members a chance to engage directly with actors and other members of a production. Directors and actors host many of the informal discussions, with occasional assistance from professionals with specific expertise on issues that arise in the plays. Talkbacks provide the audience with a forum in which to reflect upon the play and the issues portrayed within, and the chance to share their perspectives with others in a welcoming environment.
Personal previews last for an average of 30 minutes after a given performance. They always occur on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons, though they may not occur on every Thursday or Sunday of a show’s run.
