Student Matinee Performances
Next Act offers a student matinee performance for its age-appropriate main stage productions. To ensure access, significantly discounted tickets are provided for the attending students. As needed, student tickets are sponsored for schools that do not have the means to buy tickets even at the discounted price. A talkback with the actors in the play is arranged for all students following the student matinee performance. This grants students the opportunity to ask questions of the actors and explore the themes of the play in greater depth.
In-School Workshops
Classroom visits from Next Act artists are offered free of charge to interested schools. Workshops related to our individual plays can be organized as Pre- and Post-show offerings for schools attending student matinees. These workshops connect students directly with actors, designers or other artists and give them an opportunity to explore the themes and ideas of the plays in more depth.
Next Act also offers customized theatre arts workshops designed in partnership with teachers to support their curriculum, respond to student interests and help connect the plays on our stage to the learning already happening in their classrooms.
