Q: When is Next Actors happening?
Optional Playwriting and Technical Theatre Intensive: June 2 – June 13; Mondays – Fridays, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Session One: June 16 – June 27; Mondays – Fridays, 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; with a presentation on Saturday, June 28
Session Two: July 7 – July 18; Mondays – Fridays, 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; with a presentation on Saturday, July 19
Tour Week: July 21 – July 24; Monday-Thursday, approximately 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (for any participants in either Session One or Two)
And our combined finale presentation is Friday, July 25 at 6:00 p.m.
Participants are invited to take place in either or both session(s) and add on the Optional Playwriting and Technical Theatre Intensive as desired.
Q: What is Next Actors: Summer Theatre for Teens?
An opportunity to explore your creativity to create your very own show with peers as well as the ability to learn a variety of skills from local theatre professionals!

Because you have a unique perspective on the world that should be heard!
Q: How do I audition?
Early admission auditions will be held March 28 – 30.
Regular admission auditions will be held April 26 – 27 and May 2 – 4.
HOW TO AUDITION:
- Sign up for an audition slot by emailing nextactors@gmail.com, calling 414-278-7780, and/or filling out this Google form.
- Check your email regularly to find out your specific audition slot!
- Choose two things to perform. These can be: a monologue, a song, and poem, a speech, a paragraph from your favorite book, something you wrote that you could read out loud, a dance, a musical instrument solo or anything that showcases your ability! (Need help picking something? Email nextactors@gmail.com!)
- Rehearse your two pieces! Make sure your audition is no longer than six minutes.
- Show up to Next Act Theatre, 255 S. Water St, at least 10 minutes ahead of your audition slot.
In your audition, you must demonstrate a willingness to be bold in your artistic identity as well as collaborate and cooperate with your peers.

Next Actors is 100% tuition free! Bus passes are also available upon request for those who need them.
