How to Audition!

Auditions will be live and in-person at the theater!

In the audition, you must demonstrate a willingness to be bold in your artistic identity as well as collaborate and cooperate with your peers.

Please prepare two contrasting pieces from the following list:
– a monologue from a play
– any forensics piece
– a song (preferably one you wrote yourself)
– performance poetry
– a few bars of an instrument you play
– a joke
– a paragraph from your favorite book

If you can’t find something you like to do, we’ll provide you with a monologue or a poem.

The entire audition performance must be under 6 minutes long, total.

Sign up for an audition slot by filling out this registration form.

Next Actors: Summer Theatre for Teens emboldens passionate high school students in Milwaukee and surrounding areas to recognize their value and connect artistically to their community.

Next Actors provides a structure for teens to create a student-written performance that is then toured throughout the metro area. With the guidance of professional arts and community leaders, students gain self-awareness and confidence while learning to trust, respect, and collaborate with each other to create their own original work of performance art.

In-person availability and plans to tour the student show are subject to change depending on the status of COVID guidelines by April of 2022.
