Next Act Theatre Staff
David Cecsarini, Producing Artistic Director
The 2015-2016 season marks David’s 37th year as a theatre professional. During his twenty-eight year Milwaukee residency, he has acted with many of its professional companies and also has extensive credits as a nine year veteran of American Players Theatre in Spring Green, WI. He has proudly served as Producing Artistic Director for Milwaukee’s Next Act Theatre for 24 years. Long before his professional theatre debut, David busied himself in his basement performing radical surgery on most electronic devices. Eventually he hung up his soldering gun in favor of just twirling the knobs and has since designed sound effects and scores for over 80 professional productions. Favorite sound designs include THE VOICE OF THE PRAIRIE, THE DRESSER, LAST OF THE BOYS, MARY’S WEDDING and MICROCRISIS. David has directed many Next Act productions; memorable projects include THE PAVILION, THE REAL THING, SOMEONE WHO’LL WATCH OVER ME, THE DRESSER, ROOM SERVICE, SIDE MAN and BETWEEN EAST AND WEST.
